Unfold is a brain-game and learning app. This notice explains how information is handled when you use the app or visit unfoldtra.com.

Information on your device

The app stores activity results, saved puzzle and lesson progress, activity history, profile preferences and settings on your device. These records let you resume activities and view your progress. The current implementation does not upload your game or learning history as part of signing in.

Device backups may include local app data according to your device and backup settings. Removing the app or clearing its storage may remove local records; backups can retain copies.

Optional accounts

If you choose to create an account or sign in, Unfold uses Firebase Authentication. Account information can include a user identifier, email address, display name, email-verification status and linked sign-in providers. Sign-in methods can include email and password, Google, or Apple, depending on the app version and platform.

Passwords and sign-in tokens are handled by authentication services rather than included in game records. Authentication providers also process technical information needed to deliver and secure sign-in. See Firebase privacy and security information, Google’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy.

Purchases and subscriptions

Where purchases are available, Apple processes payments and RevenueCat helps validate purchases, restore access and manage subscription entitlements. This may involve an app-user identifier, product and transaction details, receipts, subscription status, and device or platform information. Unfold does not receive your full payment-card details from Apple.

This website

This website does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, sign-in forms or mailing-list forms. Fonts and images are served with the website. Your answers to the sample puzzle stay in the current page’s memory and are not transmitted or saved by the page.

The hosting provider, Hostinger, may process request information such as IP addresses, browser information and access logs to deliver and secure the website. See Hostinger’s privacy policy. External links take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Why information is used

Information is used to provide app features, save local progress, authenticate optional accounts, validate purchases and protect the services. This website does not sell information collected through its pages or use it for targeted advertising.

Your choices and deletion

You can use the app’s local activities without creating an account. You can update your account name, sign out, or delete your account from the app’s Account screen. Account deletion may require recent sign-in. Local activity history is separate from your sign-in account; deleting the account does not automatically erase all local progress.

To remove local records, clear app storage or remove the app, and review your device backups separately. Manage or cancel Apple subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Deleting an Unfold account or removing the app does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing. Some records may need to be retained for security, transactions or legal obligations.

Retention and service locations

Local records remain on your device until removed. Account and purchase records are handled by their respective service providers for the operation of those services and any applicable retention obligations. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own.

Children and family use

A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use of accounts and purchases. If you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed, contact us at the address below. The public app release’s age guidance will be provided with its store listing.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated when the app or website changes. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
